HC Deb 04 August 1926 vol 198 cc2999-3000W
Mr. W. M. WATSON

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty the number of unestablished employés who were transferred to Rosyth in 1915–16, and who have been discharged from the dockyard; if he is aware that these men find it impossible to get work in the district; and what arrangements, if any, are being made to return them to their home districts in the South of England?

Mr. DAVIDSON

Assuming that the hon. Member is referring to the recent discharges, the number asked for in the first part of the question is 11. No arrangements are being made to send to the South of England at Admiralty expense any of the men recently discharged at Rosyth in consequence of the reduction of the dockyard to a care and maintenance basis.
