§ Viscount SANDONasked the President of the Board of Trade whether his Department have investigated the American invention as to lifeboats which when released under water will reach the surface, and the French invention as to foghorns automatically operated by the presence of fog; whether these inventions have been approved; and, if so, whether the Government will lay it down for them to be used for all suitable purposes?
