Notice has been given on the ground that these men were not eligible, under the arrangements made for giving effect to the Southborough Committee's recommendations, for permanent non-pensionable employment. Their employment was on a purely temporary footing, and I fear 3009W that they must give place to other ex-service men with prior rights under the recommendations in question.
