§ Sir H. BRITTAINasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the ever-increasing number of road vehicles and the danger in many accidents caused by broken glass, together with the comparatively high price of a form of glass which does not splinter, he can inform the House whether anything is being done to encourage the production of an article of the latter type at a lower price?
§ Colonel ASHLEY:I have been asked to reply to this question. I am afraid there is no action which I could take that would be likely to hasten the production of unsplinterable glass at a lower price than that at present prevailing.
