HC Deb 27 April 1926 vol 194 c1860W
Mr. KIRKWOOD

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will lay upon the Table a copy of the Regulations under which the Governor of Nyassaland may deport anyone as an undesirable immigrant upon receipt of any Report which he deems reliable; and whether he is aware of the circumstances under which Commander John R. Lee has been compelled to leave Nyassaland, although he held a letter of commendation and introduction from the Secretary of State for the Colonies?

Mr. AMERY

I have received no Report on the subject. The Governor's powers are defined by Sections 24 to 27 of the British Central Africa Order in Council, 1902, published as No. 663 of the Statutory Rules and Orders, 1902.
