HC Deb 23 April 1926 vol 194 c1534W
Sir B. FALLE

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty if he is aware that the men of the trawlers "Boyne" and "Cherwell" are not given the ls. a day hard-lying money granted to all other men serving in trawlers; and if he will inquire into, and remedy, this?

Mr. DAVIDSON:

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part, the matter has been carefully considered, but, as these trawlers are employed under conditions which do not entitle their crews to payment of hard-lying money, it is not practicable to authorise payment in their case.
