§ Sir W. de FRECEasked the Undersecretary of State for the Home Department, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether he is aware of the continued delay in improving the temporary additional accommodation provided for the staff of the Blackpool Second Tax District, which is inconvenient to the public, in addition to being insanitary, dirty and overcrowded; and whether tenders for the rebulding have actually been received?
Mr. LOCKER-LAMPSONThe First Commissioner regret the delay in commencing the extension of the main building in which the Blackpool Second Tax District is housed. No tender was received in response to advertisements inserted in the Press in August last, but tenders, obtained by invitation, are now under consideration.
