Mr. CHAMBERLAINSurcharges on members of boards of guardians have been reported to me during the period mentioned in two cases—Lambeth and Lewisham. In both cases the surcharge relates to a payment of superannuation allowance which the auditor holds is in excess of the amount legally payable.
