STEEL-MAITLANDThe approximate numbers of workpeople involved in industrial disputes, causing stoppage of work, in Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the six months ended 31st October, 1935, and 31st October, 1924, were 330,000 and 270,000 respectively. The figures include workpeople rendered idle owing to the disputes at the establishments where the disputes occurred, in addition to those actually on strike or locked-out.
