§ Mr. BETTERTONUnder Section 2 of the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1925, the period during which the requirements referred to may be waived was extended to the end of June, 1927. The question of a further extension after that date will be among those to be considered by the Committee which my right hon. Friend recently set up under the Chairmanship of Lord Blanesburgh, to examine the scheme of Unemployment Insurance with a view to advising him as to any amendments that may be necessary.
