WOODBoards of guardians are not required to inform my right hon.768W Friend of the scales upon which relief is paid to widows and children, and he is, therefore, unable to give any figures in reply to the first part of this question. The number of old age pensioners in receipt of domiciliary relief on the 1st January, 1925, was 42,705. The number of such persons in receipt of institutional relief was 3,540.
