§ Earl WINTERTONThe total amount of the orders placed by the High Commissioner for India for railway stores from the 1st January, 1924, to the 26th March, 1925, was £1,249,000, of which £923,000 represents the value of stores manufactured in the United Kingdom. The corresponding figures for the Indian railway companies working State railways but for the period from the 1st January, 1924, to the 31st December, 1924, are£6,362,000 and £5,430,000, respectively. The companies' figures for the current quarter are not yet available.
