§ Mr. R. YOUNGasked the Minister of Transport whether any representations have been made to him by local authorities regarding the increased burden of rates occasioned by the increase in the cost of maintaining district roads in efficient condition to meet the continuous accumulation of motor traffic; and, seeing that in the circulars of June, 1923, it was indicated that the grants made in that year would be continued, will he Say 285W whether they are being continued, and, if not, will he consider the matter with a view to meet the extra cost incurred in road upkeep?
