§ COLONEL LANE-FOXThe quantity of coal (other than miners' coal) used for domestic consumption in 1923 is estimated to have been about 33,700,000 tons. The estimate for 1924 is not yet available. I have no means of estimating the domestic consumers' total annual expenditure on coal.
