§ Mr. RENTOULasked the Minister of Health whether he intends taking action to carry out the Report made in 1921 by the Committee appointed by the then Minister of Health recommending the repeal of Section 9 of the Housing, Etc., Act, 1919, under which the value of good houses is being confiscated indiscriminately with houses unfit for habitation?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI do not at present contemplate introducing legislation on this matter as further experience of the working of the existing Act is, in my opinion, necessary, and I must not be assumed to accept without qualification the statement in the last part of the question.
