§ Mr. R. RICHARDSONasked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been drawn to the prosecution of the Rector of Stiffkey, Norfolk, for non-payment of rates; whether he is aware that the rates in question are based on income from tithes which have not yet been paid to the rector; and whether, in view of the state of the law on this question, he will consider the necessity of introducing legislation to deal with it?
§ Mr. N. CHAMBERLAINI have been asked to reply. My attention had not previously been drawn to the case referred to, but I am making inquiries into the matter.
