Mr. LOCKER-LAMPSONThe provision for architectural services in the Subheads for New Works and Maintenance of the Class I Estimates for the financial year 1925-26 will amount to approximately£1,600,000 in each case. The details of the building schemes will appear in the printed estimates to be issued at an early date, while the maintenance provision will cover the repair and upkeep of all buildings at home and abroad under the control of the First Commissioner of Works. Of the total provision for the financial year, roughly one-third of that48W for new works and one-half of that for maintenance will be spent during the first half of the year.
