§ Colonel DAYasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if there are now left to be disposed of any further assets in the hands of the Disposal Board; if so, will he state the nature and the estimated value of same; and is it anticipated that these assets will be liquidated during the current financial year?
Mr. GUINNESSThe assets remaining for disposal in the hands of the Surplus Stores, etc., Liquidation Department are of a value of, approximately, £3,000,000, and include factories, lands, railway main line locomotives and wagons, machinery, armament, medical stores, etc. Every effort is being made to complete the sale of these assets during the financial year.
