Mr. CHAMBERLAINIf, as I assume, the hon. Member's question refers to the provision of simple information on health questions, I may say that many local authorities already provide such information, and that my Department have recently published a memorandum on public education in health by the chief medical officer, which deals generally with such provision. A proposal to extend the powers of local authorities in this matter is now before Parliament.
