Mr. WOODThe Trade and Navigation Accounts, which give import and export figures for Great Britain and Northern Ireland as a whole, but not for Great Britain separately, show that the total imports of barley for the 12 months ending 30th April, 1925, were 994,000 tons, but they do not distinguish between malting and other varieties. The barley crop of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for 1924 was 1,145,000.
