§ Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANSAs regards the first part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to pages 143–8 of the current monthly Army List. As regards the remainder of the question, no provision is being made at present for increasing the garrison or for incurring any expenditure on the erection of additional accommodation. I cannot say whether it will be necessary to incur any such expenditure in the future, as the question of the garrison required to protect the Singapore Base is still under consideration.
