§ Mr. GEOFFREY PETOasked the Minister of Transport whether he will make representations to the railway companies to instal the telephone at all railway stations, so that farmers and others may be able to clear their livestock without unnecessary delay?
§ Colonel ASHLEYI have already been in communication in this matter with the railway companies, who inform me that all applications for the installation of telephones at stations receive their sympathetic consideration and are complied with where commercial considerations are found to warrant the expense. If my hon. Friend has any particular station in mind and will furnish me with particulars, I will bring them to the attention of the railway company concerned.
