MARRIOTTasked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been called to the rapid deterioration of the surface of certain portions of Victoria Street, Westmister, recently relaid; whether, in view of the expenditure incurred on this work, he is satisfied that it was satisfactorily carried out; and what steps, if any, he proposes to take to have defects made good without further cost to the ratepayers?
§ Lieut.-Colonel MOORE-BRABAZONI cannot agree with the suggestion contained in the first part of my hon. Friend's question. Should any defects develop, they will be made good by the contractors under the terms of their contract.
