Mr. GUINNESSI have been asked to reply. The Public Works Loan Commissioners, under the powers conferred on them by Section 1 of the Agricultural Credits Act, 1923, have advanced to farmers 638 loans, amounting to £2,545,946. The loans are repayable with interest at 5 per cent. per annum over varying periods not exceeding 60 years.
