§ Captain HACKINGThe provisions on this subject are statutory: they are contained in the Official Secrets Act, 1911 and 1920, and the Police Pensions Act, 1921. Section 15 (1) (e) of the latter Act provides for the forfeiture and withdrawal, at the discretion of the police authority, of the pension of any police pensioner who publishes in a manner which the police authority consider to be discreditable or improper any information which the pensioner may have obtained in the course of his employment in the police.
