§ Colonel DAYasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the need of houses in the borough of Southwark and the large number of building trade workers in this borough at present unemployed, he will take the necessary steps to provide houses for the people and also give employment to these unemployed workers
Mr. CHAMBERLAINMy information is that, while there is unemployment in certain branches of the building industry in the borough of Southwark, there is practically no unemployment in key trades such as bricklayers, plasterers and slaters.
