Mr. CHAMBERLAINIn connection with their inspections at workhouses the inspectors ordinarily satisfy themselves as to the quality and quantity of the food supplied. No separate record is kept of reports on this matter. It may be stated, however, that where defects are found by the inspector or where com plaints are received from inmates or others, action would be taken by him or by the Ministry.
