Mr. CHAMBERLAINExcluding lunatics in county and county borough asylums, casuals and persons in receipt of domiciliary medical relief only, the number of persons in receipt of Poor Law relief in England and Wales on the last Saturday in June was 1,105,970, on the last Saturday in August, 1,200,599, and on the last Saturday in October approximately 1,270,186.
