§ Mr. BRIDGEMANThe weight of shell that can be thrown from the seven 7.51382W guns of H.M.S. "Effingham" is 1,400 lbs. As, however, she can only fire six guns on each broadside, the weight of her broadside is 1,200 lbs. According to my present information, the weight of the broadside of H.I.J.M.S. "Furulata" is 1,560 lbs.
