§ Sir A. STEEL-MAITLANDNotification of the commencement and termination of schemes of work for the relief of unemployment is not received from local authorities, nor are figures available of the number of men employed on individual schemes of work, consequently, I am afraid the greater part of the information requested is not available. The total of men directly employed on State-aided schemes for relief of unemployment was 95,619 on the 29th February, 1924, and 117,963 on the 28th February, 1925, the latest date for which full figures are yet available.
