§ Lieut.-Colonel MOORE-BRABAZONI do not at present contemplate the introduction of any general legislation with regard to canals. The Government has, however, given assistance, and is still prepared to give assistance, through the Unemployment Grants Committee to practicable schemes for the improvement of canals.
