§ Commander COCHRANEasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that two houses in North Street, St. Andrews, which were formerly occupied by coastguardsmen, have appeared in the valuation roll as vacant for over 12 months: and whether, in view of the housing shortage in St. Andrews, he will take steps to ensure that these houses are immediately made available for occupancy?
Mr. LOCKER-LAMPSONIt has only recently been decided that the two houses in question will not in future be required for coastguard purposes, and steps are now being taken to dispose of them.
