asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) the Customs receipts during the year ended 31st March, 1925, under the headings of tea, sugar, and tobacco, respectively, and the corresponding figures for the previous year;

(2) the Excise receipts during the year ended 31st March, 1925, under the headings of beer and stout, spirits and Entertainments Duty, respectively, and the corresponding figures for the previous year?

I must ask the hon. Member to be good enough to defer those parts of his questions which relate to the financial year 1924–25 until after the Budget statement. I am circulating in the OFFICIAL REPORT the figures for the financial year 1923–24.
