§ Mr. BUXTONI have already explained that I cannot give information with regard to particular items from the accounts of the Hop Control. The crop was allocated to brewers by the Hop Control Committee on an equitable basis, and it was disposed of through the usual trade channels.
§ Viscount WOLMERasked the Minister of Agriculture whether it is proposed to extend the hop control beyond the date of its lapse, 16th August, 1925; and whether to do so would require legislation?
§ Mr. BUXTONI am giving careful consideration to the organisation of the hop industry, in view of the termination of the present period of control in August, 1925, but I am not yet in a position to make any statement on the subject. The reply to the last part is in the affirmative.
