Sir G. DOYLEasked the First Commissioner of Works whether, in view of the ever-increasing pressure of work in the Committee Rooms, he will make such arrangements as will expedite the move- 60W ments of the lifts thereto and so save time to Members of this House?
§ Mr. JOWETTAn improvement of the lift service would involve the reconstruction of one lift and the acceleration of another, at considerable expense, for which there is no provision on the Vote for the current financial year. The question of improvement will, however, be reconsidered in connection with the Estimates for next year.
