HC Deb 21 May 1924 vol 173 c2218W
Sir T. BRAMSDON

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty what are the air-space measurements of the office in which the writer ratings on the admiral's staff of His Majesty's Ship "Queen Elizabeth" work; if he is aware that seven writer ratings are employed in this office space on an average of 60 hours per week; that the conditions under which they have to carry out their duties has threatened to seriously impair the health of some of the ratings who were employed in this office; and what steps it is proposed to take in order to assist the responsible officers to alter this condition of things?

Mr. ALEXANDER

I am having inquiry made into the matter.
