§ Mr. WHEATLEYThe maximum number employed on building houses under the Housing, Town Planning, etc., Act, 1919, was in July, 1921, when the number was 149,854. Statistics are not available which would give the numbers who were employed on the erection of houses by private builders under the Housing (Additional Powers) Act, 1919, 1383W or the number at present employed on houses which are being erected with State assistance.
