§ Mr. SUNLIGHTasked the Minister of Agriculture if the Order in force in Shropshire for double-dipping of sheep brought from Scotland is occasionally, and, if so, how frequently, reviewed by the Ministry with a view to minimising hardship or expense on the part of the sheep graziers?
Mr. SMITHOwing to the widespread character of the distribution of sheep 941W scab, the Ministry has conferred upon local authorities powers to make regulations requiring the dipping of sheep moved into their districts, and the Ministry does not withhold confirmation of regulations in suitable form made by local authorities who desire so to protect their own flocks. The question of reviewing such regulations from time to time is primarily one for the local authorities themselves.
