Major HORE-BELISHA asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty 782W whether warrant officers, married and widower, who received special rates of pay under Admiralty Fleet Order 3335/1920, paragraph 5, Clause (e), will be exempt from the 5½ per cent. reduction in naval officers' pay promulgated in Admiralty Fleet Order 752 of 1924?
§ Mr. AMMONThe answer to the hon. Member's question is in the affirmative, except that in compliance with paragraph 5 (a) of the Admiralty Fleet Order quoted no warrant officer will be permitted to retain a special rate of pay in excess of the new maximum for this rank.
