§ Mr. AMMONThe complement of cooks allowed permanently, together with the cooks borne supernumerary in barracks, has up till recently been sufficient for the efficient service of the general messing system. Owing to the number of supernumerary cooks having lately been depleted by drafting requirements, the question of complements has been under consideration, and an increase of permanent complement has been authorised which will be sufficient for the efficient service of the general messes.
