HC Deb 11 March 1924 vol 170 cc2156-7W
Captain TERRELL

asked the Secretary of State for War whether, under the scheme now contemplated for making Didcot the main depot for general stores, it is proposed to alter materially the general character of the suggested buildings; and whether, in any case, he will satisfy himself that the local housing accommodation is sufficient for the workmen who will be permanently engaged?

Mr. WALSH

The scheme referred to does not contemplate the provision of any additional storehouses or the alteration in the general character of the existing buildings. The provision of additional housing accommodation for civilian employés is under consideration.
