§ Mr. BUXTONI regret that the Ministry has no information as to the number of allotment holders in England and Wales as at the 31st December, 1918, but it is estimated that there were 1,350,000 allotment holders on the 30th April, 1918. On the 31st December, 1920, it was estimated that there were 1,330,000 allotment holders. The returns called for from local authorities showing the position at the 31st December last have not all been received and classified, and I am not, therefore, in a position to give any figures at present.
