Mr. ADAMSONThe reply to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. I am informed that, owing to the narrowness of the passage, and the presence of numerous rocks, there is no reason to believe that the passage would be regarded by those in charge of vessels as one that could safely be navigated at night, even if lights were provided at the approach to the pier.
