HC Deb 04 March 1924 vol 170 c1215W
Mr. D. G. SOMERVILLE

asked the Prime Minister if his attention has been called to the movement for the reinstatement in the Civil Service of those conscientious objectors who were definitely dismissed from it; and whether he proposes to reinstate them?

Mr. SNOWDEN

I have been asked to reply. I have received an application on behalf of the men referred to in the question. This is receiving consideration, but as at present advised, I do not think it will be practicable to reopen the findings of the Select Committee of 1922.
