§ Mr. BAKERasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the fact that companies controlling subsidiary companies are able by increasing or decreasing transfers from their subsidiaries to disguise their real position in regard to profits and reserves, he will consider the necessity of, introducing legislation to compel such companies to publish the profits and financial position of what are, in reality, simply departments of the one business?
