Mr. T. THOMSONasked the Minister of Health if he will make provision in his new Housing Bill for local authorities to levy rates on any dwelling-houses which are withheld from occupation so long as the shortage of housing accommodation exists?
§ Mr. WHEATLEYI do not propose to deal with the matter referred to by the hon. Member in the Housing Bill now before the House, and, as I stated on the 20th ultimo, I cannot undertake to introduce legislation during the present Session.
