§ Mr. HARTSHORNThis question has often been considered, and it has always been held that there is no considerable scope for a postal-cheque system in this country, especially in view of the wide1492W extent of the banking system and the general use of bank cheques and postal orders for remittance purposes. I see no reason for coming to a different conclusion.
