§ Sir H. BRITTAINasked the Minister of Pensions whether anything is being done in the way of local housing accommodation for the benefit of the large staff of his Department at the issue office at Acton?
Mr. ROBERTSI am informed by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Health, that under the Housing, Town Planning, etc., Act, 1919, 323 houses have already been built and completed at Acton and a larger number in the Borough of Hammersmith. The allotment of these houses rests with the local authorities, and I am afraid that the claims of the members of my staff can only be considered on the same basis as other applicants.
