HC Deb 04 June 1924 vol 174 c1285W
Captain TERRELL

asked the Minister of Labour the exact cost to the State annually, firstly, of unemployment insurance and, secondly, of so much of that insurance as is represented by the three Government Bills on the subject introduced since the beginning of the year?

Mr. SHAW

As regards the first part of the question, I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the reply which I gave to the hon. Member for Aston (Sir E. Cecil) on the 2nd June and, as regards the second part, to the reply given by the Financial Secretary to the Treasury to the hon. Member for the Rusholme Division (Mr. Masterman) on the 7th May. I am sending copies of these two replies to the hon. Member.
