HC Deb 02 June 1924 vol 174 cc901-2W
Mr. HANNON

asked the President of the Board of Education (1) how many entrants it is anticipated will be received in the public elementary schools, specifying boys and girls separately, during the present calendar year;

(2) how many boys and how many girls, respectively, it is anticipated will leave the public elementary schools upon attaining the age of 14 during the present calendar year?

Mr. TREVELYAN

I am afraid I have no figures at my disposal which would enable me to answer these questions in the precise form in which they are put; but the hon. Gentleman will find certain relevant information on pages 12 and 13 of the Memorandum on the Board's Estimates, which has recently been laid before Parliament.
